About the Role

The RN Walk In at FirstCare/Family Medicine provides timely, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced walk-in clinic serving individuals with acute, episodic, and primary care needs. This role performs focused clinical assessments, delivers evidence-based treatments within scope, and supports providers in evaluating and managing a wide range of health concerns. Working collaboratively with providers and clinic staff, the RN helps maintain efficient patient flow through care coordination, procedural support, and accurate documentation with clear follow-up instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, obtain health histories, and collect vital signs to support provider evaluation and timely care delivery.
• Administer treatments, point-of-care tests, immunizations, and medications in accordance with clinic protocols and patient needs.
• Assist providers with minor procedures, specimen collection, and care coordination to promote efficient throughput and safe clinical practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient communications in the electronic health record.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, self-care instructions, and follow-up expectations to support understanding and adherence.
• Monitor clinic flow, collaborate with front office and clinical staff, and help ensure a clean, safe, and well-prepared patient care environment.
