RN vICU - Virtual Care Center (F/T Nights Hybrid)

About the role

The vICU RN provides virtual nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill ICU patients across multiple hospitals in multiple states from a centralized location. The vICU nurse assesses patient data and delivers nursing care in collaboration with bedside teams using audio/video connections throughout the patient's ICU stay to achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include performing video assessments, monitoring vital signs and other physiological data using specialized technology and software, and adhering to Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
• Two (2) years of intensive care/critical care nursing experience
• Current RN license or RN Temporary Permit in the State of Missouri
• RN license in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Florida required within 6 months of hire (at the expense of Mercy Virtual)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification within 6 months of hire
