RN Triage - Medical Triage

Role: Registered Nurse - Central Triage/Medical Group, responsible for patient communication, triaging clinical messages, and managing patient health concerns via telephone interactions. Key Duties: Triages calls, provides patient education, assesses symptoms, documents in EMR, and communicates lab results and reports. Instructs patients on home care procedures, and identifies urgent issues requiring immediate attention. Supervises Medical Assistants in prescription refills and prior authorizations. Qualifications: Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), current Illinois licensure, minimum three years RN experience, with at least one year in telephone triage preferred. Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and use of EMR systems.
