RN Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator

Job Summary

As an RN Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, you will lead the Trauma Program’s work to keep care safe and high-quality from the time a patient arrives until they leave the hospital. You will work with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Director to review cases, analyze system performance, and use data to make changes that improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse - clear and active FL or compact state nursing license
• BSN preferred, ASN required
• 3 years of Trauma experience required; prior PI/Quality experience preferred

What You Will Do

• Review and analyze trauma cases—both in real time and retrospectively—to assess quality, timeliness, adherence to guidelines, and alignment with ACS and state standards
• Identify and validate performance-improvement opportunities, adverse events, and system issues, and support action plans that drive measurable, closed-loop improvements
• Collaborate and contribute to guideline development, research initiatives, verification preparation, and ongoing improvements across the trauma service line

Education and Training
