RN Telephone Triage (Work from Home)

About the Role

AccessNurse-TeamHealth is looking for professional nurses to deliver quality nursing care in a remote setting. As a Telephone Triage RN, you'll use advanced evidence-based clinical decision tools to help patients get the right level of care at the right time, working from home with flexibility and a modern work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess symptoms using physician-developed clinical algorithms
• Deliver & document health education to assist patients in managing their symptoms when indicated
• Assist in getting patients to the appropriate level of care (e.g. home care, an office visit, emergency room)
• Consult with physicians as needed

Qualifications

• Current multi-state RN license with no restrictions; nurses currently holding a single-state RN license must obtain a multi-state license prior to being made a job offer
• 2+ years of RN experience
• Proficiency using computers and type a minimum of 25 wpm
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills to determine key information by patient

Remote Workstation / HIPAA Requirements

• Must have a high-speed internet connection
• Workstation must be in a room where door can be locked
• Desk should be large enough to hold 2 monitors, computer, accessories + hands-free headset
• Ability to handle confidential information; HIPAA compliance is mandatory

Remote Training Schedule

Format: Virtual (Zoom) | Duration: 3 weeks | 100% attendance required

• Week 1: September 14th – September 18th M-F Live Zoom 10:00 am-2:00 pm EST then 4hrs/day of Self-Study
• Week 2: September 21st – September 25th M-F Live Zoom 10:00 am-2:00 pm EST then 4hrs/day of Self-Study
• Week 3: September 28th – October 2nd M-F Shift days/times with a preceptor will be discussed with education manager
