RN Supervisor - Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

The RN Supervisor oversees nursing and athletic training department activities across multiple units, providing clinical expertise and coordinating care among staff levels. Key Responsibilities Include Managing daily nursing workflows and activities in collaboration with the orthopedic/sports medicine administrative team.Performing duties of direct reports, supervising staff, and ensuring proper training and competency.Recommending personnel actions such as hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary measures, and promotions.Assigning work, reviewing staff performance, and resolving work-related issues.Participating in fiscal budget planning and review of policies, procedures, and competencies.Managing staff scheduling, approving timecards, and coordinating orientation and training.Serving as Orthopaedic Program Coordinator and participating in safety and event reporting activities. Qualifications And Skills Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required).Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days and National Nursing Certification within 3 years.Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage staff and workflows effectively.
