RN Supervisor - Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Role Overview: The RN Supervisor oversees nursing and athletic training activities across multiple departments, providing clinical expertise, coordinating care, and managing staff. Key Responsibilities: Manages daily operations, workflow, and staffing of the Patient Care Department(s). Performs direct supervision, including hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and work assignments. Ensures staff training and competency, resolves work issues, and participates in budget development and policy review. Manages scheduling, approves timecards, and participates in safety and event reporting. Coordinates orientation and training for new and existing staff. Serves as Orthopaedic Program Coordinator in collaboration with relevant teams. Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Illinois RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and current nursing certification within three years. Work experience in nursing is essential. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are necessary to effectively manage staff and operations.
