Role Overview

This position provides advanced clinical oversight and coordination of surgical and endoscopy scheduling within Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). The Clinical RN Supervisor ensures optimal operating room utilization, compliance with safety and staffing standards, and effective communication among surgeons, clinics, anesthesia providers, and perioperative teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of surgical and endoscopy case scheduling
  • Analyze case length, staffing, supplies, and resources to optimize scheduling and turnover
  • Identify and resolve equipment or scheduling conflicts proactively
  • Monitor open block time and coordinate with physicians and schedulers to fill capacity
  • Lead scheduling meetings and maintain collaborative relationships with surgical teams
  • Act as primary contact for scheduling issues and educate staff on protocols
  • Ensure efficient use of OR resources, prevent procedure scheduling without necessary equipment or staff
  • Participate in resource utilization reviews and support onboarding of new staff
  • Verify physician credentials, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote safety and quality initiatives
  • Support overall OR operations and act as a clinical resource for staff

Qualifications & Skills

  • Current Texas RN license with 5+ years of surgical (OR) experience
  • Advanced clinical judgment, scheduling knowledge, and computer proficiency
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Preferred: BSN, ASC scheduling experience, OR management software familiarity, leadership abilities

Compensation & Benefits
