Surgery Scheduling Supervisor
About the role
The Surgery Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for coordinating day-to-day logistics of the surgery scheduling team and overseeing the utilization of department assigned operating room blocks. This role involves assigning workloads and managing staff, developing strategic initiatives to address OR utilization gaps, scheduling surgeries, communicating with patients, and communicating with physicians for a subset of surgeons in the department.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day logistics of the surgery scheduling team
- Oversight of department assigned operating room blocks
- Assign workloads and manage staff
- Develop strategic initiatives to address OR utilization gaps
- Schedule surgeries
- Communicate with patients
- Communicate with physicians for a subset of surgeons in the department
Requirements
- Education: High School Degree or Equivalent
- Work Experience: 8 years of related work experience
