RN SUPERVISOR 7P-7A

About the role

We are looking for qualified RN Nursing Supervisors to plan and implement our overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a long-term care facility. These positions are for 7P-7A.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate nurse schedule
• Assign patients to nurses
• Ensure adherence to all relevant nursing standards
• Maintain quality assurance of nursing documentation and client records
• Create reports for senior management
• Ensure compliance with nursing policies and procedures
• Educate and train new nurses
• Evaluate nurses’ engagement and performance
• Inform patients' family members about medical procedures and doctors’ instructions
• Provide psychological and emotional support to patients and their family and friends
• Provide clinical expertise in the management of medical and psychiatric emergencies
• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous working experience as a Nursing Supervisor for 1 year(s)
• Associate's Degree in nursing (minimum)
• Any additional certification in healthcare administration will be considered an advantage
• Valid nursing license
• In-depth knowledge of hospital procedures
• Outstanding patient management skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Great organizational and time management
• Problem solver with a positive attitude
