About the Role

The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care during hospitalization. They coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, document care activities, and ensure adherence to standards of practice and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate assessments, reassessments, and document findings accurately.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans based on assessments, patient diagnosis, and physician orders.
• Deliver and document nursing interventions, including medication administration, patient education, and referrals.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, involving families when appropriate.
• Provide specialized care such as restraint management and pain control, adhering to protocols.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices, and ensure a clean, organized environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, ensuring confidentiality and service excellence.
• Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development activities.
• Mentor and collaborate with colleagues, demonstrating professionalism and respect.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and professional standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment.

Requirements

• Current RN license in applicable states (Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing work demands and work effectively in a team environment.
