About the role

We provide direct patient care in a specialty unit, adhering to the organization's scope and standards of practice. Our team collaborates across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes and resource utilization.
• Maintains patient records and communicates patient condition as necessary.
• Delegates tasks to ancillary personnel as appropriate.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates patient learning needs and provides appropriate education.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for oncology patients.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for certain departments.
• PALS certification required for pediatric areas.
• NRP certification required for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) roles.
• Completion of relevant certifications such as Fetal Monitoring certification.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of nursing experience required.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
