About the role

We provide direct patient care in a specialty unit, collaborating across disciplines to coordinate care and effectively delegate tasks. Patient safety and education are key priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessments.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient conditions and communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed.
• Evaluates learning needs and provides appropriate patient and family education.

Requirements

• Accredited Nursing Program
• BLS American Heart E-Card
• Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT)
• One (1) year of nursing experience required.

Qualifications

• APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for oncologic indications in the pediatric setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain areas.
• PALS required for pediatric areas.
• Additional certifications may be required based on departmental needs.

Skills

Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are essential. Knowledge of disease processes and patient-centered care is also important.
