Summary

We are seeking an RN to join our prestigious Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. The NICU Pathway Program is designed for RNs interested in developing specialized knowledge and skills to care for the most critically ill newborns.   • Responsibilities

    • Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel
    • May precept student nurses and new hires
    • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care
    • Evaluates learning needs of the patient and family and provides appropriate education
    • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessment
    • Maintains accurate documentation and communicates patient condition

    Requirements

    • Accredited Program: Nursing
    • BLS American Heart E-Card
    • BLS AHA-RQI E-Card
    • BLS Cert American Heart
    • BLS Cert Red Cross
    • Registered Nurse Compact License
    • Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE)

    Education and Certification

    • APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain areas
    • PALS required for certain areas
    • Fetal Monitoring certification required for L&D RNs
    • ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider certificate required for those administering chemotherapy
    • NRP certification required for NICU
