RN - Respiratory Med/Surg (Weekend)

About the Role

This role involves providing professional nursing care within an interdisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.
• Develop individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Implement interventions to achieve expected outcomes and evaluate patient progress.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and perform bedside lab testing per protocols.
• Prioritize tasks based on patient needs and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Educate patients considering cultural, age, and developmental factors.
• Promote patient safety, adhere to standards of care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Advocate for patients and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Contribute to patient and family satisfaction through excellent service and team collaboration.

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the relevant state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Diploma in Nursing required; experience in clinical practice preferred.
