RN Weekend - Med/Surg

Role Overview Provides professional nursing care by applying the nursing process within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient well-being and safety. Key Responsibilities Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.Develop and update individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team.Implement interventions to achieve desired patient outcomes and evaluate progress continuously.Document patient care, modify plans as needed, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.Demonstrate accountability by seeking resources, maintaining current knowledge, and promoting team development.Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment; perform bedside lab testing and quality control.Analyze clinical situations, seek assistance when necessary, and prioritize tasks based on patient needs.Collaborate with team members, delegate tasks appropriately, and communicate effectively.Educate patients considering their cultural, age, and developmental needs, ensuring safety and understanding.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, promote patient satisfaction, and serve on unit councils.Identify practice issues, implement improvements, and contribute to projects and audits. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with valid state licensure.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.Educational background in nursing (college diploma required).Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing situations, and prioritize effectively.
