Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.
- Develop and modify individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team.
- Implement interventions to meet patient outcomes and evaluate progress continuously.
- Document patient care accurately and demonstrate professional accountability and ongoing self-development.
- Operate and troubleshoot clinical equipment, perform bedside lab testing, and ensure safety protocols.
- Analyze clinical situations, seek assistance when needed, and prioritize tasks based on patient needs.
- Career coordination, task delegation, and effective communication with team members.
- Educate patients considering their cultural, age, and developmental needs, promoting safety and understanding.
- Ensure care quality aligns with standards, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and advocate for patient satisfaction.
- Contribute to project work, data collection, and practice improvements within the unit.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed RN with Illinois licensure, BLS certification, nursing diploma, and clinical knowledge of evidence-based practice, safety standards, and team collaboration.
- Strong assessment, communication, problem-solving, and patient advocacy skills are essential.
