About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for managing a group of patients, delivering care through the nursing process, current trends, technology, and resource management within the facility's philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Performing unit-specific duties and implementing area-specific procedures and theories.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of nursing care to support healthcare team collaboration.
- Conducting initial patient assessments and developing individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Implementing, evaluating, and modifying care plans and interventions accordingly.
- Ensuring safety for patients and staff by reporting hazards and incidents.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, including hourly rounding and bedside reporting.
- Collaborating with critical care teams and hospitalists for specialized patient care.
- Supporting professional development through feedback, training, and competency fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- ACLS certification within one year and BLS within 30 days
- High school diploma or GED
