RN - Resident Care Director - Assisted Living

About the role

Location: Delaware County, PA. A very reputable, premier senior living community located along the heart of the Main Line in Delaware County, PA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Resident Care Director to lead clinical operations and resident care within an Assisted Living community. This is a highly visible nursing leadership position for an experienced RN leader who is passionate about resident-centered care, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and developing strong nursing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily clinical operations, nursing services, and all resident care programs
• Conduct resident assessments, oversee Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
• Monitor resident changes in conditions and ensure appropriate interventions and follow-up
• Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacy partners, therapy providers, hospice, and other healthcare professionals
• Oversee medication management and infection prevention and control programs
• Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial and nursing regulations. Serve as CLIA and Infection Control leader as applicable
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing nursing team
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to nurses and care staff
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental resources
• Partner with community leadership and admissions to support appropriate resident transitions and Sales to assess move-in appropriateness
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare partners
• Participate in weekly physician rounds and maintain strong clinical oversight of resident care
• Respond to changes in resident condition and ensure timely communication and appropriate clinical intervention
• Promote a culture of resident dignity, safety, accountability, and exceptional care

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an Assisted Living and/or Memory Care setting – Required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership/management experience – Required
• Strong knowledge of resident care, clinical documentation, and senior living operations
• Working knowledge of Assisted Living regulations and regulatory compliance
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with senior living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or related settings

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $95,000 – $120,000 annual salary + strong benefits package
