RN- Director of Assisted Living

The Assisted Living Director is responsible for the leadership of the Health Services operations at the Assisted Living Facility (ALF) and Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC). This role ensures the delivery of quality programs and services to residents in a safe and secure environment, maintains positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, volunteers, churches, and the local community, and provides continuity of care through consistent application of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
• Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community, aligning with our mission, vision, and values.
• Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
• Provides general leadership of the Health Services of the ALF and RCAC, empowering staff to contribute to decision-making and fostering accountability.
• Assists the Director of Social Services with advanced medical directives, guardianships, and provision of social and emotional support.
• Develops and oversees annual goals and objectives in conjunction with other staff, ensuring timely implementation.
• Ensures the provision of quality services for residents and prompt resolution of concerns to achieve resident satisfaction.
• Maintains effective communication with residents and family members/personal representatives; participates in resident/family council meetings.
• Develops and maintains a staffing plan to ensure effective delivery of quality services, including hiring, mentoring, and corrective action for clinical staff.
• Promotes positive team relations among staff and buildings, streamlining programs and services as appropriate.
• Assists in the development and monitoring of operational and capital budgets for the ALF/RCAC.
• Ensures effective administration of corporate policies and procedures, and develops or revises policies specific to the ALF/RCAC.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies through training, mentorship, and survey preparedness.
• Participates in strategic planning for the campus.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an Assisted Living or Long-Term Care retirement setting.
• Minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience in a similar setting.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) preferred or willingness to obtain.
