About the Role
Valley Health Specialty Hospital is the first orthopedic surgery and inpatient rehabilitation facility in the Las Vegas area, offering both specialty orthopedics and inpatient rehab in one location. This role provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy, while upholding Patient Centered Care as the foundation for all nursing practices. The position involves professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, as well as overseeing and guiding employees under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in alignment with facility policies and standards.
- Uphold Patient Centered Care as the foundation for all nursing activities.
- Offer professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Oversee and guide employees under your supervision.
- Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- One year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Current PALS Certification (for pediatric patients) or NRP Certification (for Neonatal patients) as required by the department.
- Other certifications as required by the facility, specialty, or department.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
