RN - Registered Nurse - PACU - Same Day Surgery

About the role

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the PACU team in Same Day Surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL. The hospital has been serving the community since 1934 and is Pathway to Excellence designated.

Responsibilities

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care assistance and supervision to a child.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
• RN (Registered Nurse) license required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• Nurse Specialty certification preferred.
• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
• 2 years of RN experience required.
• 1 year of RN experience in PACU working with pediatric patients preferred.
