Registered Nurse (RN) - Same Day Surgery PACU

About the role

Provides comprehensive nursing care by developing diagnoses, establishing care goals, and implementing interventions. Supports patients, families, and staff through physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual assistance. Collaborates with healthcare team members, reviews physician orders, and communicates care plans effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates nursing care plans based on patient assessments and histories.
• Educates patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care practices.
• Monitors and evaluates patient outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Ensures a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
• Documents patient care accurately in medical records.
• Maintains and operates patient care equipment, manages supplies, and performs preventive maintenance.
• Adheres to legal, organizational, and safety standards, including medication handling and controlled substances.
• Maintains professional competence through ongoing learning and adherence to organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practice state.
• Effective communication skills and visual acuity required.
• Preferred 1–3 years of clinical experience.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and teamwork.
• Adherence to safety, legal, and organizational standards.
