Essential Responsibilities

• Assesses, prepares, and provides nursing care to patients; provides ongoing care in collaboration with multiple physicians; provides and develops educational opportunities for staff and monitors outcomes.
• Communicates with attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the RN's knowledge base or scope of practice.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on individual needs.
• Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services and interdisciplinary team.
• Captures administrative functions for the Program, which may include staffing coverage and/or participating in marketing activities.
