RN Performance Improvement Nurse
Description
The Performance Improvement Specialist implements and maintains a compliant, comprehensive, organization-wide, Safety, Quality and Performance Improvement Program.
What You Will Do
- Perform audits and gap analysis in response to patient and family concerns, department specific events or trends, and other authorized parties
- Communicate serious adverse events occur and follow through on submission of required documentation
- Analyze monthly data, create, and drive performance improvement activities, and help implement change
- Assist in training safety curriculum for all staff
- Conduct root cause investigations in surgery
- Perform chart reviews and audits to support investigations
Minimum Qualifications
- CT RN license required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field preferred
- At least five (5) years hospital experience preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, patient quality of care and safety initiatives; RCA or Lean Management skills preferred
- Leadership experience with regulatory requirements for reporting and subsequent response criteria
