RN - Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit

About the role

Cleveland Clinic’s Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, M52, specializes in treating pediatric patients with seizure disorders, post-surgical seizure focus removals, and those requiring medication adjustments. Each year, over 2,000 pediatric epilepsy patients visit our outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) in ED and Pediatrics.

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Schedule

A caregiver in this position works 2 - 12-hour shifts (7:00am—7:30pm) per week (this is a part time position/24 hrs. per week) w/weekend and holidays requirements.

Pay

• Minimum hourly: $35.50
• Maximum hourly: $55.60
