Oversee patient care delivery
Oversee patient care delivery within the unit to ensure high-quality standards, compliance with healthcare regulations, and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices.
Mentor and manage staff
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a collaborative work environment and managing shift scheduling to ensure adequate unit coverage.
Manage unit operations
Manage the unit’s operational budget, optimize the allocation of medical supplies and equipment, and monitor productivity metrics to control costs.
Coordinate care
Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and administrative teams to resolve grievances and coordinate seamless, interdisciplinary care.
Lead quality improvement
Lead unit-based quality improvement initiatives, analyzing patient outcomes and safety data to implement protocols that reduce medical errors and improve patient satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Education Required: professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative Leadership Experience Required.
