About the role
The Manager oversees the 24/7 operation of the 2B/2G Observation Unit, which houses 40 beds with dedicated 24/7 provider staff.
Responsibilities
- Affirms standards of care and clinical practice.
- Collaborates with team members to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Maintains compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
- Addresses patient care issues and grievances.
- Promotes accountability and clinical autonomy.
- Ensures adequate staffing for quality patient care.
- Develops and implements a staffing plan.
- Manages and educates the nursing staff.
- Disciplines and terminates staff as necessary.
- Monitors budget activity and identifies discrepancies.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
- Fosters a collaborative and respectful work environment.
- Empowers staff to participate in decision-making.
- Maintains ongoing education and competency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
- Master’s degree with a focus in Nursing recommended.
- Nursing administration and applicable specialty certification recommended.
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Maryland or compact state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Previous supervisory, managerial, or leadership experience preferred.

Pay
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. The pay range is $89,196.60 - $142,667.20 annually for non-exempt positions.
Schedule
Positions may be full-time or part-time, with schedules varying based on department needs.
