Responsibilities
- Directly supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift
- Monitor the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care
- Conduct nursing rounds on all units multiple times throughout the shift
- Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents and resident family members
- Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator
Qualifications
- At least 2+ years experience in managing staff
- Current CPR Certification
- Meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certification and have no disciplinary action in affect against professional license
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care
- Computer knowledge
License
Must have an Active RN Registered Nurse License to practice in the state of DE
