RN - Nursing Supervisor

Overview

Nurse Supervisors at Mattapan Health & Rehabilitation Center provide clinical leadership and oversight during assigned shifts while ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered. This role serves as a trusted resource for nursing staff, supporting daily operations, resident needs, and team success.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff
• Conduct rounds to monitor resident condition, care needs, and staff performance
• Ensure care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and ongoing resident care coordination
• Review documentation, treatment delivery, and care practices to promote quality outcomes
• Partner with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to nursing team members
• Affirm appropriate coverage to meet resident care needs
• Foster an atmosphere of respect, communication, and collaboration across departments
• Ensure nursing practices follow facility policies, regulations, and professional standards
• Support infection prevention, safety initiatives, and regulatory readiness
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and facility committees
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns

Qualifications

• Possession of a state license in applicable state
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role
• Interest or experience in geriatrics
• Current BLS/CPR
• Experience with dementia population desirable
