RN NURSE MANAGER LTC/SNF
Broad Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall functioning of nursing service on their respective unit.
Work involves managing the care of residents of their respective unit from admission to discharge.
To work in collaboration and coordination with the resident, family members, physicians, members of the interdisciplinary team, supervisors, and staff to determine and achieve desired outcomes.
To use independent judgement, initiative and problem-solving to achieve clinical outcomes with and through the team members.
Managing staff which includes supervising and developing the skills of entry level, skilled and licensed personnel, evaluating team members recommending hiring and discipline up to and including termination, conduct performance appraisals, assessing workflow, implementation of new policies and procedures, investigation of complaints, attends committee meetings and conferences.
