About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a Level IV ER setting. They perform the nursing process, utilizing evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and cultural competence to deliver individualized care. The role emphasizes collaboration, timely documentation, and supporting performance improvement initiatives, including research and shared governance. RNs serve as preceptors and mentors, fostering professional development and a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to optimize outcomes in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Utilize evidence-based practice and critical thinking to deliver individualized, culturally competent care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, including research and shared governance.
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor to support professional development and a healthy work environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and advocate for patient safety.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of protocols and care standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Valid certifications in BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ACLS.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in direct patient care preferred.
