RN NICU Nights

About the Role

The RN provides direct patient care in the NICU, utilizing evidence-based practices and a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver top-of-scope nursing care and prioritize patient wellness.
• Model proficiency through precepting and mentoring.
• Contribute to safety and quality initiatives.
• Support ongoing education and competency validation in specialized women and infants units, including NICU, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery.
• Provide compassionate, safe, and effective care.
• Support patient and family education.
• Adhere to practice standards and collaborate with team members to improve clinical outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license.
• 6 months of Women and Infants nursing experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship.
• BLS certification (required).
• Relevant certifications such as RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, or CCRN (preferred).
