About the Role
The registered nurse assesses, manages, and provides nursing care during a patient's hospital stay, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care in a hospital ICU setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Provide patient and family education on health management and discharge planning.
- Ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Deliver specialized high-risk care in the ICU environment.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and promote service excellence.
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Assist with patient transfers and perform physical tasks requiring prolonged standing.
Requirements
- Valid RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced ICU setting.
