About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, managing, and providing comprehensive nursing care during a patient's hospital stay. This includes delivering specialized care for high-risk injuries, pain management, and recognizing signs of abuse to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments.
- Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families on health management.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
- Provide high-risk injury care and pain management.
- Recognize and report signs of abuse.
- Adhere to quality standards and maintain current licensure.
- Participate in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities.
- Deliver respectful, compassionate, and confidential care.
- Involve families in care decisions and ensure effective communication.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in applicable states.
- BLS certification.
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Adherence to safety and infection control policies.
Work Environment
This role is based in an ICU setting. Physical requirements include occasional patient handling and adherence to environment safety protocols.
