About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, managing, and providing comprehensive nursing care during a patient's hospital stay. This includes delivering specialized care for high-risk injuries, pain management, and recognizing signs of abuse to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments.
  • Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and families on health management.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
  • Provide high-risk injury care and pain management.
  • Recognize and report signs of abuse.
  • Adhere to quality standards and maintain current licensure.
  • Participate in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities.
  • Deliver respectful, compassionate, and confidential care.
  • Involve families in care decisions and ensure effective communication.

Requirements

  • Valid RN license in applicable states.
  • BLS certification.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Adherence to safety and infection control policies.

Work Environment

This role is based in an ICU setting. Physical requirements include occasional patient handling and adherence to environment safety protocols.
