The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care in a clinical environment supported by evidence-based practice and shared governance. Key responsibilities include: Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and ensuring care is culturally sensitive and patient-centered.Partnering with patients and families through effective communication and education, promoting care that reflects their goals and needs.Coordinating and documenting safe, quality care while fostering teamwork, inclusivity, and respectful clinical environments.Supporting performance improvement initiatives, participating in research and evidence-based practice, and serving as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional development.Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, including accreditation standards.Contributing to protocol development and resource management for optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications include: Associates, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).Current RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact).Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.Certifications in BLS and ACLS required upon hire, with ACLS certification within 180 days if not already obtained. Skills and competencies: Knowledge of clinical standards, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and commitment to professional growth.
