About the role
Join our Med-Surg team in a fast-paced, adult care environment. Our 18-bed unit provides care for patients with orthopedic needs, surgeries, cardiac monitoring, and complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process.
- Perform bedside procedures, wound care, IV starts, manage NGTs, chest tubes, and administer blood transfusions.
- Care for post-op, central line, and colostomy patients.
- Collaborate with team members, including float staff, to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain professional standards and coordinate care activities of assigned staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program; new graduates are eligible.
- Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
- Additional certifications in specialty area are a plus; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior hospital experience is advantageous.
