About the role

Join Our Med-Surg Team in a fast-paced, hands-on environment caring for adult patients with diverse medical needs, including orthopedic, surgical, cardiac, and complex conditions. Our 18-bed unit offers opportunities to perform IV starts, bedside procedures, wound care, manage NGTs and chest tubes, administer blood transfusions, and care for post-op, central line, and colostomy patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care from birth through the lifecycle
• Utilize nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards
• Care for post-op, central line, and colostomy patients
• Perform bedside procedures and wound care
• Administer blood transfusions
• Maintain professional growth and accountability
• Coordinate patient care activities
• Float across the hospital to support various units

Qualifications

• Nursing program graduate with a current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license
• BLS certification
• Eligibility for new graduates
• Prior hospital experience is advantageous
• Advanced specialty certifications and a bachelor’s degree are preferred
