About the role
Provides direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassion to deliver high-quality care while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, ensuring safety and cost-effective practices.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
- Administer prescribed medications and provide age-appropriate care.
- Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.
- Utilize nursing knowledge for treatments and procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical skills.
- Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge support.
- Promote patient safety and minimize risks.
- Engage in lifelong nursing education.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Computer literacy required.
- RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS/PALS certifications.
