About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a 9A Medical-Surgical unit with 24 private beds, serving patients primarily above 17 years old with diverse diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Performing nursing assessments, medication administration, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Implementing and modifying individualized care plans based on patient needs
• Ensuring patient safety through adherence to safety protocols and effective communication
• Delegating tasks to healthcare technicians and validating their completion
• Documenting care activities accurately and maintaining compliance with standards
• Providing patient education and responding promptly to patient requests
• Using critical thinking to assess patient status and communicate effectively within the team

Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Current BLS certification
• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Clinical skills include IV insertion, wound care, tracheostomy, and ostomy care
