About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a medical-surgical unit with 24 private beds, serving patients primarily over 17 years old with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments
• Administer medications
• Implement and modify care plans
• Ensure patient safety through effective communication and teamwork
• Provide hands-on care including IV insertion, Foley and tracheostomy care, wound management
• Operate medical equipment such as plum pumps and wound vacs
• Document patient care and progress
• Delegate tasks appropriately
• Educate patients and families
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care
