RN Manager James Island ER
Job Summary
The RN Manager James Island ER is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License
- BLS – Healthcare provider on hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS (American Heart Association) or ALS (American Red Cross) Certification on hire or within 3 months of hire or transfer date
- PALS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Certification on hire or within 3 months of hire or transfer date
- NRP (MCMC,CPMC) Certification on hire or within 6 months of hire or transfer date
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification on hire or within 6 months of hire or transfer date
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification must be complete within 90 days of hire.
- Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Recent experience in ED preferred.
- Recent nursing practice, with experience in a nursing leadership position preferred.
- Physically and mentally capable to satisfy job requirements.
- Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal & external customer.
