About the role

This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located primarily at Torrey Pines in La Jolla but oversees all Scripps Cancer Clinic sites (Rancho Bernardo, Torrey Pines, Jefferson, Encinitas & Prebys). This is an exempt and salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) at the Manager level.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered cancer care while maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing clinic operations, and supporting physicians and staff.
  • Manage RN Specialty Nurse Navigators who support our patients throughout the continuum of care.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing schedules.
  • Develop staff training and professional development plans.
  • Be responsible for the daily operations of the patient care units or departments in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure appropriate equipment and resources are available to staff to do their job.
  • Develop and implement workflows that improve patient access, standard work and satisfaction.
  • Monitor clinic productivity, patient volumes and operational performance metrics.
  • Contribute to strategic planning of business units.
  • Coordinate the ongoing development and productivity of the physician office practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus five years applicable clinical experience, two of which in a leadership role.
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
  • Applicable experience in a healthcare environment and three years of leadership experience.
  • Current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.
  • Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Ability to effectively manage healthcare business and operational practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or MSN is strongly preferred.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate is strongly preferred.
  • OCN.
  • Outpatient experience.

Pay

$72.71-$105.41/hour
