About the Role

The Nurse Manager oversees clinical and operational functions within a designated unit, ensuring safe, quality, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing, develop schedules, and adjust staffing based on census and patient feedback.
• Develop and monitor budgets, oversee pay practices, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
• Lead staff recruitment, supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations, fostering staff growth and satisfaction.
• Coordinate staff orientation, facilitate learning opportunities, and support clinical development.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, utilizing data for quality improvement.
• Serve as a clinical resource, act as a role model, and participate in shared governance and leadership activities.
• Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders, handle incidents and patient concerns, and promote a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a current license and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of performance improvement, regulatory standards, and electronic medical records.
• Relevant clinical certifications and nursing leadership certifications are highly desirable.
