Nurse Manager - Hematology/Oncology Clinic

Role Overview

This position is for a Nurse Manager responsible for the clinical and operational management of a hospital unit. You will lead staff, oversee quality and safety initiatives, manage resources, and develop policies to ensure patient-centered care. Your leadership will foster staff growth, satisfaction, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, staffing, and budget development
• Lead staff hiring, supervision, evaluation, and professional development
• Coordinate performance improvement and quality initiatives using data
• Oversee policies, procedures, and compliance standards
• Act as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model
• Handle incident investigations and patient satisfaction issues
• Promote a collaborative, patient-focused environment through effective communication

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Nursing license (NY required), Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's preferred)
• At least 3 years of clinical experience (5+ preferred), management experience is advantageous
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of performance improvement, regulatory requirements, and electronic health records
• Certification in clinical area and nursing leadership preferred
