About the Role
Provide high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in a Labor & Delivery clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform the Nursing Process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care while promoting teamwork and collaborative practices.
- Support performance improvement, research activities, and participation in shared governance.
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor to foster a qualified and healthy nursing workforce.
- Promote evidence-based practice, adhere to organizational policies, and participate in data collection for quality outcomes.
- Proactively plan patient care across the continuum to optimize outcomes.
- Respond effectively in fast-paced and emergency situations.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Active RN license (single state and multi-state compact).
- Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience.
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS (instructor and provisional certifications as required).
