About the Role

This position involves providing clinical leadership and supervision in a Surgical Specialty Unit, ensuring quality patient care across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

  • Assigning nursing staff and designing shift schedules
  • Supervising care delivery and acting as a liaison among staff, physicians, and patients
  • Ensuring adherence to policies and participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting shared governance and delegating tasks
  • Fostering a positive work environment
  • Implementing care plans and assisting with procedures
  • Administering medications and maintaining patient safety
  • Contributing to professional development

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Current RN license in New Mexico
  • BLS certification
  • CPR certification

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Specialty certification
  • Bilingual skills
