This position involves providing clinical leadership and supervision in a Surgical Specialty Unit, ensuring quality patient care across diverse age groups.
Responsibilities
- Assigning nursing staff and designing shift schedules
- Supervising care delivery and acting as a liaison among staff, physicians, and patients
- Ensuring adherence to policies and participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting shared governance and delegating tasks
- Fostering a positive work environment
- Implementing care plans and assisting with procedures
- Administering medications and maintaining patient safety
- Contributing to professional development
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Current RN license in New Mexico
- BLS certification
- CPR certification
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Specialty certification
- Bilingual skills
