About the Role

This position involves providing clinical leadership in a Coronary Care Subacute unit by supervising nursing staff, assigning patient care, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Delegate duties to nursing staff and assign patient care responsibilities
  • Support shared governance and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Act as a liaison among healthcare team members
  • Deliver direct patient care across various age groups
  • Assist with procedures and administer medications
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Promote a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Engage in professional development activities
  • Respond to emergencies and uphold patient safety practices

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Nationally Accredited Nursing Degree program
  • At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience
  • Active RN licensure in New Mexico
  • CPR certification (within 30 days of hire)
  • Physical ability to perform heavy work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual skills
  • Specialty certification in a relevant nursing field
