About the Role
This position involves providing clinical leadership in a Coronary Care Subacute unit by supervising nursing staff, assigning patient care, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Delegate duties to nursing staff and assign patient care responsibilities
- Support shared governance and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Act as a liaison among healthcare team members
- Deliver direct patient care across various age groups
- Assist with procedures and administer medications
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment
- Engage in professional development activities
- Respond to emergencies and uphold patient safety practices
Requirements
- Graduate of a Nationally Accredited Nursing Degree program
- At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- Active RN licensure in New Mexico
- CPR certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Physical ability to perform heavy work
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual skills
- Specialty certification in a relevant nursing field
