About the role
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem ICU and Telemetry roles in Halifax, VA.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality, safe care in an acute hospital setting
- Monitoring and assessing patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and operating specialized equipment
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Educating patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Demonstrating professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Qualifications and skills
- Active Virginia RN license
- Minimum of one year recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
- Additional credentials may be required based on facility
