About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU or Telemetry, providing per diem hospital coverage in Halifax, VA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care in an acute-care hospital setting, including patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation of conditions and responses
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Follow safety and infection-control standards
• Educate patients and families
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability

Qualifications & Skills

• Active Virginia RN license
• At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption is required
• Additional credentials may be needed based on specific assignments
